Breaking News – UN pilot downed over Rionegro

The Spanish Airforce has confirmed that one one of their F/A18s enforcing the Rioengro No-Fly-Zone has gone down over that country. Initial reports indicate that the plane went down in the North West near the Domiguan border and the town of San Esteban. The pilot is reported to have successfully ejected, but his current whereabouts and health are unknown.

“There has been an incident in Rionegro, and an investigation is beginning” a spokesman for the Spanish Airforce confirmed. “At this time our priority is the safe recovery of the pilot who we believe did manage to exit the plan before it crashed. We do not currently know what is the cause of the incident.”

The Spanish government is believed to have issued a call for both sides in the ongoing Rionegro Civil War to assist in the operation to recover the pilot. Further details will be provided as we get them.
